About Queen City of the South





The Queen City of the South which is Cebu is located in the Republic of the Philippines. Cebu is an elongated island some 250 kilometers from North to South and 45 kilometers across at its widest point wide. It is central of the Philippine archipelago and from Manila, a some of 600 kilometers south. It's location is combined with a sheltered deep water harbor, and made Cebu the base for most of the country's domestic shipping and the gateway to the central and southern Philippines. The land's area is 5,000 square kilometers with 3 million people of whom and 1.5 million live in Metro Cebu.

The island is also rich of mountains and and beaches which tourist love to visit. The
weather in here is warm, generally 23 to 33 degrees Celsius. Rainfall is evenly distributed throughout the year, except for the summer which starts in the month of March to May.

The major dialect in the province is Cebuano, which is also widely spoken is Visayas and Mindanao. Tagalog and English are also spoken and understood in here
